The best coffee bar in NYC.
Abraço
Jamie, from Blue Bottle Coffee in SF, is a master of the bean. Not only that, but the eclectic, warm atmosphere he has created in this sliver of a shop in the East Village lingers delicately in your mind long after the last delicious drops of your espresso are gone.
Espresso, americanos and cappucinos are a must, but you should also try out some of their delicious snacks – like cured olive cookies, Cardamom-orange bundt cake or the lavender and salt butter cookies. Their homemade almond milk is a creamy alternative to soy.
Abraco means “hug” in Portugese.

Blue Bottle beans are THEE BEST.
I lived a couple blocks from their East Bay roastery for a spell: http://flickr.com/photos/pheezy/tags/bluebottle
