OK, brace yourself. My friend Sam has a friend who went to Tulane in New Orleans. Apparently his apartment was completely infested with cockroaches so he decided to teach them a lesson about the food chain they'd never forget.

In plain sight of several cockroaches, he scooped one up and ate it. He said he did it to intimidate the other cockroaches and "show them who's boss" so they'd all run away for good. I'm not sure if it worked or not, that part of the story was not passed along, although the guy did go on to become a Navy Seal. He's obviously an intense individual.
