  Note: The main feature of the highly advertised Gevalia is the premiums, not the coffees, which tend to be somewhat bland and lacking in flavor IMHO.

  Note 2. If in desperation and only Supermarket coffee is available, Chock Full O’ Nuts and Bokar won’t kill you.

  Note 3.The Keurig sinjgle cup pod brewer isn’t terrible, and the better pods come from our Canadian friends at Timothy’s via amazon.com. Newman’s own pods aren’t bad either, especially the decaf.

  Note 4. Always use fresh cold water (preferably filtered or distilled), and get a good burr grinder—it makes all the difference. Of the conventional electric drip makers, I have found the Starbuck’s Barista Solo one-cup to make excellent coffee, even when using their metal filter.

  Note 5. Avoid the trendy French Press—it leaves a lot of “mud” in the cup which can’t be good for your body’s plumbing.
